We all want to give a special baby present when we attend baby showers of our friends and family. Sure there’s the registry, but you always wonder if someone has already gotten something or if you are getting enough or too much. Not to mention that it’s nice to give an extra special gift sometimes that you know the mom and dad will appreciate and that they can use.

Now this may be a suggestion for the more crafty and patient of the bunch, but it’s a great idea none the less. Create your own gift basket! Even if you still want to follow the gift registry, there are bound to be several smaller items that you can put together in creative packaging to give as a gift basket. Or there's always the option of buying a gift basket that is already put together but has items that can be personalized.

There are several slightly larger gift items that can be used to pile the smaller baby goodies into so that you can create a baby shower gift that reflects your personality and offers mom and baby a fantastic gift that they will remember. Try using a nursery storage basket or even stuffing a trendy diaper bag with extra little baby gifts like baby books, picture frames or a gift for mom.

A friend of mine recently gave me another great idea for a unique baby gift basket. She mentioned that she may do a special “gift basket” by putting several baby bath items into a baby bath tub! So have fun dreaming up possibilities for the next gift you take to a baby shower and make it a baby gift that only you can give!
