It is very tempting to use pink paint for baby girls and blue paint for baby boy’s nurseries, but what if your child wants something totally different in a few years? When you begin converting the crib into a big boy or big girl bed, you can keep your child excited and involved by letting them pick out the new bedding and curtains and some accessories, but there’s no telling what they may pick. Unless you plan on repainting at that point anyway, a simpler step is to start with a wall paint color that has more versatility. For example, if you are planning on decorating a nursery in pink for your baby girl, try a soft cream color or maybe a shade of brown on the walls and then use pink for all of your baby bedding and other accessories. Also, with your room accents done in bright colors they will often cast a hue onto the light colored walls around them.
